In view of Lok Sabha elections to be carried out in 2,139 polling centres on Friday, police and security forces are ensuring tight security cordon in all the centres before election. A total of 7,500 jawans will ensure security arrangements at these centres. As the concerned departments maintain all alertness to avoid any untoward incident during elections. The police departments is in alert-mode and already carried out security analysis of all the polling booths and deployed security forces at the critical centres. Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh informed that patrolling teams and officers of TI, SDOP, DSP and ASP-levels will take rounds at the centres during election. As per instructions received from Election Commission and Police Headquarters, tight security arrangements have been made to conduct elections in an impartial, transparent and peaceful manner amid fear-less environment.
 
Around 4000 police offiers/jawans have been deployed at polling centres, patrolling parties and check-points while 3000 officers and jawans of Special Police Officers would serve their duties to ensure a fearless environment in the district. Total 320 patrolling mobile gazette officers will keep eye on various arrangements at the centres. Out of total 2139 polling centres, 491 are in critical category while remaining 1648 are enlisted in general category. According to SP, Singh, adequate number of police and paramilitary forces with additional forces have been deployed at all the polling centres. All necessary arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident during election.
