Congress National Spokesperson and Chairperson of Social Media & Digital Platforms Supriya Shrinate, has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), denouncing it as a party steeped in deception, dishonesty and a proliferation of fake news. Addressing the media at the state Congress party office, Rajiv Bhawan, in the State Capital, Shrinate responded to questions regarding her statement on the ‘naxalites martyred in the Kanker encounter,’ alleging that her words were distorted by the BJP. She underscored the tragic loss of Congress leaders in the Jhiram Ghati Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh back in 2013, asserting that the BJP had manipulated her video.

The Congress National Spokesperson challenged the BJP, urging them to confront issues directly instead of resorting to distortion and character defamation for political gain. Shrinate further highlighted the widening wealth gap, escalating unemployment and soaring inflation over the past decade. Asserting the Congress party’s commitment to addressing the significant challenges that have emerged in the country over the last ten years, Shrinate emphasised the party’s electoral pledges. The press conference was attended by State Congress Media Chief Sushil Anand Shukla and other prominent Congress leaders.
