In presence of Collector and District Election Officer Deepak Saxena, Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh and representatives of political parties, strong rooms were opened to distribute election materials including EVMs and VVPAT machines, among polling teams at premises of Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU) on Thursday. The Assistant Returning Officers were present when the constituency-wise strong rooms were opened at 4.30 am. To conduct Lok Sabha Elections in Jabalpur Parliamentary Constituency on April 19, 2024, distribution of election materials among polling teams was conducted smoothly amid tight security. The arrangements were so impressive that after smooth distribution of election materials, the polling teams started departing for their respective polling centres as per fixed schedule i.e. sharp at 10.00 am.
 
The employees who were deployed to implement distribution activities, reached JNAU premise before 4.30 am. As per directives issued by Collector, Saxena, two venues were fixed at JNAU premise for distribution work. The polling teams concerned with Patan, Bargi, Jabalpur East, Jabalpur North and Sihora constituencies, received election materials from the backyard of Indian Coffee House while those belonged to Jabalpur Cantt, Jabalpur West and Panagar constituencies received their materials from the ground located behind College of Agriculture Engineering, JNAU. Collector, Saxena along with SP, Singh and Additional Collector, Misha Singh inspected distribution arrangements. They interacted with the polling team members to boost up their morale and extended best wishes. Even the polling teams applauded the arrangements and assured the officers to fulfill their duties with all sincerity and determination.
 
District Election Officer and Collector, Saxena and SP Singh kept constant vigilance on the arrangements at the venue. In view of convenience of polling teams, constituency-wise big pandels were installed with adequate numbers of coolers, tables and chairs placed for every polling team. Even the medical teams with all necessary medicines were deployed at the venue. The parking arrangement was planned in a proper way to avoid traffic jam. A total of 524 routes were fixed to carry polling teams to their respective polling centres. Along with sufficient numbers of buses, two tractors and one motor boat were also assigned for transportation purpose. The polling team left for flood-prone village Kathoutiya located at Bargi constituency through motorboat. Polling centre no. 261 established at village Kathoutiya has 284 voters. The polling team which reached at the centre comprised of Presiding officer, PK Sahu, Polling Officer-1, Kailash Das, Polling Officer-II, Deepak Kumar Sahu, Polling Officer-III, Govind Shrivastava, Sector Officer, Sandeep Jain and Micro-Observer, Akhilesh Prasad.
