BJP moots plan to oppose bifurcation of BMC

BJP convened a meeting over the burning issue related with bifurcation of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). BJP leaders said that the conspiracy to damage Bhopal’s culture and heritage will not be allowed to succeed. The meeting was headed by BJP State President Rakesh Singh. A detail discussion was done on Government proposal to divide BMC into two parts. BJP prepared a work plan against the Government proposal.
 
BJP has decided to launch a public awareness programme over the issue. In every ward and colony, objections will be registered against government proposal. Along with this, BJP has decided to carry out signature campaign in entire state against amendment done in local body elections. This campaign will be conducted from October 19 to October 21. This meeting was attended by Mayor Alok Sharma, Vijesh Lunawat, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, ex-minister Umashankar Gupta, MLA Vishwas Sarang, MLA Krishna Gaur, district president Vikas Virani, BMC Chairman Surjeet Singh Chouhan etc.
