IRCTC introduces traditional ‘Falahar Thali’ at your berth

Considering the demand of passengers during festivals, IRCTC has introduced traditional ‘Falahar Thali’ at your berth just two hours after online order. Online service of Vrat food was started by IRCTC from Navratri celebrations and this service will be available for the entire year. Passengers who wish to get Vrat Thali need to order the food through IRCTC application or website about two hours before. IRCTC has included Falahar food in its e-catering menu.
 
Each Thali includes sabudana khichdi, puri, dry fruits, snacks, aloo tikki, zeera aloo, french fries and chura. Facility has been made available at Gwalior, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Mathura, Hazrat Nizamudidn, Ambala Cantt, Jaipur, Nagpur, Itarsi, Vadodara, Jaipur, Ajmer, Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Varansi, Kanpur, Allahabad, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Howra, Aurangabad, Akola, Vasai Road, Vapi, Kalyan, Durg, Borivali, Daund, Ujjain and Ahmadnagar railway stations. IRCTC has launched online food delivery in running trains about two years ago. In this scheme, menu of popular restaurants have been made available for passengers on website and IRCTC application where passengers can order food for next station. Prices of food are also available in menu card. From this month, IRCTC has also included Vrat thali of several restaurants for online order.
