CM gifts 100-bed hospital to Narsinghpur

Chief Minister Kamal Nath, on Monday, visited Jhoteshwar of Narsinghpur district and sought blessings from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswatiji Maharaj. The Chief Minister presented shawl and shriphal to the Shankaracharya. Later, the Chief Minister performed bhoomipujan of 4-km-long cement concrete road, costing Rs 5 crore in Jhoteshwar. Kamal Nath performed pooja archana at Shrimata Bhagwati Rajrajeshwari Tripur Sundari Mandir of Jhoteshwar and prayed for the prosperity of the State. Kamal Nath also presented a big gift to the citizens of Narsinghpur. He dedicated the newly-constructed 100-bed building of Shankarlal Dubey District Hospital, equipped with the most modern medical equipment.
The total cost of the building is Rs 10.65 crore. The new building will facilitate patients with better medical services. After the dedication ceremony, Kamal Nath inspected the newly-constructed building. The most modern operation theatre, new born baby unit, delivery room, post delivery ward and blood bank have been constructed in the building. The Chief Minister garlanded the statue of the Freedom Fighter Chowdhary Shankarlal Dubey installed in the campus of the district hospital and also planted a sapling. The Minister for Finance, Tarun Bhanot, Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silavat, Minister for Social Justice and Disability Welfare Lakhan Ghanghoria and citizens in large number were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that comprehensive reform programmes will be launched to increase farmers' income and for the growth of agriculture sector. He mentioned that a new policy will be framed, keeping in view the interest of sugarcane producing farmers. He was addressing a huge gathering at Narsinghpur after dedicating and performing bhoomipujan of various development works costing Rs 70 crore. The Chief Minister said that a new revolution is needed in agriculture sector in Madhya Pradesh to increase the purchasing power of farmers and to double their income. The Government is going to take concrete steps in this direction. Through the Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana, we have tried to provide relief to the farmers. Crop loans of 21 lakh farmers have been waived off so far. Out of these, 20,322 farmers belong to Narsinghpur district. Nath said that the process of our agricultural loan waiver scheme is under way.
In the second phase of the scheme, the loans of the remaining farmers are being waived off. Referring to the economic situation of the State, the Chief Minister said the Government’s coffer was empty when he entrusted with the responsibility of the state. There was an atmosphere of frustration among every section of the society, including farmers and youth. There was lack of investment in other areas of development, including industry and lack of confidence and implementation. In the last ten months, we have made tireless efforts to bring the situation back on the track. Now the people of the state are feeling positive change. The confidence that we created in the last month has made investors interested in the state. By increasing investment, we will provide employment to the youth for their bright future and security. The Chief Minister said that he has a deep attachment with Narsinghpur. He informed that when he was a Minister in the Union Government, he had granted approval to a number of projects for the development of Narsinghpur.
The Chief Minister said that whatever expectations the people of Narsinghpur have today, will be fulfilled. Speaker of Vidhan Sabha Narmada Prasad Prajapati mentioned that whenever he discusses with the Chief Minister for the development of Narsinghpur district, he always has a blueprint for the development of the district. He said that the Chief Minister’s attachment to the region will soon result in construction of a law college, agricultural engineering college, Narmada River Bridge at Bilthari-Kothari, 30-bed hospital at Dobhi, construction of 17 km. road from Tendukheda to Sahajpura and Indoor and Cricket stadium. The Chief Minister performed bhoomipujan of the high level Ker Water Bridge on Narmada River, Narmada Shopping Complex, Astroturf Hockey Stadium, construction works of the Central Jail and CC Road from NH 26 to Barmankhurd.
He also distributed benefits of various schemes of the government to the beneficiaries. Minister for Finance Tarun Bhanot and Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silawat and Former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri also addressed the gathering. Minister for Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Lakhan Ghanghoria, other public representatives and citizens in large number were present at the programme.
