Mayor provides e-bike to Darogas, praises sanitation workers

Mayor Alok Sharma provided e-bike to Darogas of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday. He praised the role of Daroga’s. He also asserted that all sanitation workers and BMC officials are doing hard work to get number one status to Bhopal in cleanliness survey 2020. “If there is firm commitment then nothing is impossible,” he told. Giving the credit of Bhopal City getting cleanliness survey award in 2017 and 2018, he also said that best performing Daroga and sanitation workers will be felicitated. Apart from this, he also flagged off five new garbage collecting vehicles.
 
On this occasion, BMC Chairman Surjeet Singh Chouhan, BMC Commissioner Vijay Datta, Leader of Opposition Mohammad Sagir, Mayor in Council Members Keval Mishra, Surendra Badika, Dinesh Yadav, Shankar Makronia, Bhupendra Mali, Corporators including Abdul Shafeeq Khan, Shamim Nasir, Tulsa Verma, Ganeshram Nagar, Ravi Verma, BMC’s Additional Commissioner Rajesh Rathore, Deputy Commissioner Harish Gupta etc were present.
 
This programme was organized at ISBT based BMC Office premises. Heaping praise on cleanliness work being done by sanitation workers, he told that when people sleep, sanitation workers use to clean the roads and lanes of city. when people get up, they finds city lanes and roads clean. Hence, care of sanitation workers has to be taken off. For the better treatment of sanitation workers, he directed Additional Commissioner to ensure treatment facility in private hospitals as well.
