CM Kamal Nath flags off 45 new 108 Janani Ambulance vehicles

Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that the aim of the State Government is to continuously increase the basic amenities of the common man, so that he can lead a secured life with dignity. CM was speaking at a programme organised for the dedication of 45 new 108 Janani Ambulances to people at Lal Parade Ground in State capital on Tuesday. These vehicles have been replaced with old vehicles. Chief Minister flagged off the new vehicles of 108 Janani Ambulances to serve the general public.
 
The Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare, Tulsiram Silawat and Minister for Public Relations P C. Sharma were present on the occasion. Chief Minister said “It is our priority that the citizens of the State get all facilities. An atmosphere should be created in the State in which every category remains happy and our state flourishes”. He further added that replacing the old vehicles in 108 Janani ambulances is an effort in this direction. He said that the new ambulance vehicles will facilitate people residing in far-flung areas and they will get the service on time. It was informed that currently 737 Sanjeevani 108 Janani ambulances are operating in 51 districts of the State.
 
Out of the vehicles that have covered 2.5 lakh kilometres or are more than 5 years old, 50 vehicles will be replaced. It was informed that in just six months from April 2019 to September 2019, a total of 20,94,595 pregnant women and 39,299 sick infants were transported from home to the hospital in time for treatment under the Janani Express Scheme. Similarly, 28,024 sick infants and total 2,64,513 women were transported home from the hospital. Total 77,446 beneficiaries were transported from one hospital to another bigger health institution under the scheme.
