Collector, SP pay tributes to Ashish Lal; assure complete support to bereaved kin

Collector Bharat Yadav (IAS) and Superintendent of Police Amit Singh (IPS) paid floral tributes to Ashish Lal at Bilahri graveyard on Tuesday. Senior officers consoled the bereaved family members and assured them to provide necessary assistance. Collector Yadav termed the untimely demise of national hockey player Ashish and three other players a big loss for entire sports fraternity.

He informed that Chief Minister Kamal Nath has directed the administration to provide necessary assistance to bereaved family members and financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh from Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund. Funeral procession was taken out from Ghamapur and burial was carried out at Bilahri graveyard. A large number of sports persons and residents attended the funeral procession and burial of Ashish Lal on Tuesday.
