Nirbhaya Women Achievers Award to be given on Oct 20

Nirbhaya Women Achievers Award will be presented on October 20 to felicitate women voluntary groups who are working effectively for the welfare of downtrodden women in city. The main objective of the event is to felicitate women group which are working for the betterment of women in city. Giving information about the event, organiser Samar Khan said that this time main focus is given on women group achievers who have made difference in lives of women from marginalized community. There will be an exhibition organised followed by the awards ceremony in which various kinds of products made by different women groups will be put on sale.
The reason to select big venue is also to cater attention of higher income groups to purchase itineraries from the needy sector and with Diwali around the corner, this would create a difference in living standards of women skilled labourers as well. There will be six voluntary groups who will be having stalls of their products in the exhibition.
The programme will be organised on October 20 at 2nd Floor, Tulip Hall, Courtyard Marriott, Bhopal, she added . Mubsara Khan, co-ordinator of the programme, said that many ladies clubs including Lions Club BHEL Ladies Club, SBI women’s group are part of the programme. Felicitation will be given to the groups which re working in different sectors of women empowerment mainly in the city. This programme is hosted by SHD welfare foundation in collaboration with Nirbhaya Social Welfare Group. Addressing the press conference organised at Kohefiza, she said that it is high time the effective voluntary organisations who are continuously working for the welfare of women should be acknowledged and given importance.
