Two arrested with nine stolen two-wheelers worth Rs 5 lakh

The Bhopal Crime Branch on Saturday claimed to have busted a two-member gang of vehicle lifters with the arrest of two miscreants who were detained from BHEL Gate No 5 and more than nine two-wheelers worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered from their possession on Friday. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Nischal Jharia said that acting on a tip-off from an informer, two vehicle lifters were nabbed near BHEL Gate no 5 and failed to provide details of the scooter without registration number. They confessed that the scooter was stolen from Govindpura area.
 
The two nabbed were identified as Ishwar Patel (45) of Piplani and Amit Noria (35) of TT Nagar. Later, in the investigation the two confessed stealing of other vehicles and recovered nine two wheelers worth Rs 5 lakh from their possession. During the investigation accused confessed that they are active in stealing vehicles for the past one and a half year. They have stolen vehicles from Govindpura and others parts of Bhopal. Ishwar works as electrician and Amit works as driver. The two were unemployed.
 
Amit planned to steal vehicles and accompanied Ishwar who agreed and later they targeted vehicles from different areas. The accused parked the stolen vehicle at parking spaces used rarely and where the employee of parking spaces paid less attention towards vehicles. Four vehicles two each were parked at their houses which were recovered by the police. Police said that the accused were trying to sell the vehicles but failed to sell vehicles and were nabbed. Both Ishwar and Amit have been arrested for vehicle lifting. Ishwar was arrested by MP Nagar police for stealing vehicle and Amit has been arrested for vehicle stealing by TT Nagar police.
