Criminal breach of trust offence involving Rs 67 lakh, accused arrested from Bengaluru

SUPELA police team arrested a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a private gym equipments supplier company from Bengaluru, Karnataka in connection with the offence of criminal breach of trust involving Rs 67 lakh. The cheating offence was registered against the accused on basis of complaint lodged by the victim from Nehru Nagar, Bhilai. The police said that the accused has been remanded to jail after he was produced in the court here.
 
Police sources informed that the accused has been identified as Dr Vikram Basrawali Mohan (45), a resident of HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The police said that as per the complaint lodged by the victim Ayush Jain, a resident of Nehru Nagar, Bhilai, about two years ago the accused Dr Vikram was paid Rs 67 lakh in connection with dealing regarding supply of gym equipments but even after long time he failed to ensure supply of the equipments and nor he ever opted for returning the paid sum even after reminders. On complaint lodged by the victim Ayush Jain, police registered the offence against the accused under section 406 of Indian Penal Code for indulging in the criminal breach of trust.
 
Police sources further informed that on basis of complaint police registered the offence and established the charges of criminal breach of trust against the accused in the course of fact finding investigation. While initiating legal action in the case, Supela police team arrested the accused Dr Vikram Basrawali Mohan in Bengaluru and brought him here after seeking transit remand. While confirming details, Brijesh Kushwaha, Station House Officer, Supela Police Station informed that however the accused Dr Vikram Basrawali Mohan, CEO of a private gym equipment supplier company, was absconding for last two years but in the course of technical investigation and keeping track of the accused, Supela police team succeeded in laying hands him. The police are investigating to initiate further legal action in the matter.
