A combine team of Crime Branch and Lordganj police nabbed an accused involved in illegal trade of firearms and seized a country-made pistol, a revolver and two live cartridges from him. The accused has been identified as Vipnesh Yadav (23), a resident of Nibaura village in Tendukhera, Damoh district. According to Lordganj police, during a special campaign against anti-social elements, Crime Branch received information about a man involved in illegal trade of fire arms.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Lordganj police started a search and succeeded in apprehending the identified man at Ranital square. In his search, police seized a country-made pistol, a country-made revolver and two live cartridges from him. In prima facie of the investigation, accused disclosed that he purchased firearms from Damoh district for its selling in Jabalpur. Lordganj police have registered a case under Section 25/27 of Arms Act while further investigations are underway to identify the source of supplying firearms and its buyers. Accused was arrested by police team led by SHO of Lordganj police station, Madhur Pateria comprised of Sub Inspector, Anil Mishra, Crime Branch’s Constables, Khuman Singh, Ramsahay, Rammilan and Birbal.
