BJP submits signatures of 16.65 lakh people to Governor Tandon

Opposes indirect election in local bodies and bifurcation of municipal corporations 
 
A delegation of BJP leaders met Governor Lalji Tandon and presented the signatures of 16.55 lakh people done against indirect elections in local bodies and bifurcation of Bhopal Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. BJP delegation included Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mayor Alok Sharma, MP Pragya Singh Thakur, former minister Umashankar Gupta, Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, ex-Minister Narottam Mishra etc.
 
BJP leaders told that to hide its failures, Congress is bringing such issues that people can get confused. Congress Government wants to take political advantage by disturbing geological, social and religious equations. BJP State President Rakesh Singh stated that effort of Kamal Nath government to divide Bhopal Municipal Corporation into two parts is censurable.
 
Apart from this, government is also talking to divide Indore and Jabalpur Municipal Corporations and entire people of state are against such attempts of government. “We have requested Governor to stop such practices of Congress government. On need, we can hit the streets over the said subjects,’ he asserted. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Government effort to divide municipal corporations of Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur will not be allowed to happen. “It’s an effort to divide brothers and division on communal line will not be allowed to take place,” he said. Leader of Gopal Bhargava and Kailash Vijayvargiya also slammed Congress government for conceptualising division of municipal corporations of Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur.
