17-year-old girl gangraped by 2 at Kaliyasot dam

A 17-year-old girl was lured of outing by a woman of her locality who took victim to Kaliyasot dam in Chuna Bhatti area where she was gangraped by two youth in front of the woman on Wednesday, told police on Thursday. According to investigation officer SI Ashok Upadhyay, the victim girl lives with her family at Gehunkheada in Kolar area. In her complaint, she stated police that a woman named Manju, who lives in the same locality, lured her of outing and took her to Kaliyasot dam where accused Dileep who is a carpenter and another youth was present.
They then took turns on her in presence of her neighbour woman. She screamed for help but there was no one to save her. Later, trio offered her money to remain tight-lipped over the incident but she turned down their proposal and they escaped from the spot leaving her alone. Subsequently, the victim somehow returned home and narrated the incident to her parents after which the matter was reported at Chuna Bhatti Police Station where responding to her complaint, a case of gangrape and POCSO Act has been registered and search is on to nab the accused involved in the incident. Meanwhile, in another incident a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man and his nephew in Bagsewania locality; incident took place in May this year but the victim lodged a complaint in this regard on Wednesday.
According to Bagsewania police, the victim girl is a resident of Adarsh Nagar area who came into contact with a youth named Chotu Sahu, who sexually assaulted her on May 5 this year. Later, when the victim went to his uncle’s place, accused Appu Sahu instead of helping her after knowing this fact also raped the victim by threatening her of life. The victim remain tight-lipped over the incident over these past few months but recently she narrated her ordeal to father and a complaint under sections 376 (2) (N), 376 (2) and 3/4 of POCSO Act was lodged at Bagsewania police station against uncle and his nephew.
