Congress leader Kantilal Bhuria sworn in as MLA

After securing victory in Jhabua by-poll, veteran Congress leader Kantilal Bhuria sworn in as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) by Vidhan Sabha Speaker N P Prajapati in Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on Thursday. Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hina Kavre and other officials were also present during the programme. Bhuria has defeated BJP’s Bhanu Bhuria by over 27,000 votes in by-poll. In State Assembly, number of Congress members has raised from 114 to 115.
 
Chief Minister Kamal Nath took part in the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed MLA from Jhabua Kantilal Bhuria at Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister welcomed the guests from Jhabua and congratulated them. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Narmada Prasad Prajapati administered the oath of MLA to Kantilal Bhuria.
 
Principal Secretary Vidhan Sabha Secretariat Awadhesh Pratap Singh conducted the oath-taking ceremony. Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hina Kanwre was present during the ceremony. Those present on the occasion were Cabinet members Dr Govind Singh, Hukum Singh Karada, Govind Singh, Tulsiram Silawat, Birjendra Singh Rathore, Tarun Bhanot, Kamleshwar Patel, Harsh Yadav, Surendra Singh Baghel, P C Sharma, Pradyumna Singh Tomar, Mahendra Singh Sisodiya, Jaivardhan Singh, Omkar Singh Markam, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri besides a large number of legislators and dignitaries.
