The three-day festival is celebrated to commemorate the foundation day of Chhattisgarh, would solely promote art and culture of the state, said culture minister Amarjeet Bhagat
 
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be the chief guest on the first day followed by Governor Anusuiya Uikey on the second day and Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant will be the chief guest on the last day
 
 
Three-day Rajyotsav-2019 to be celebrated at Government Science College Ground Raipur from November 1 to 3 is solely aimed at promoting the art and culture of Chhattisgarh. Therefore, the theme of State Foundation Day celebrations has been declared as ‘Chhattisgarhi’, said Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat in a press conference at New Circuit House.
 
“For the first time, dream of our ancestors is being realised through Rajyotsav, the foundation day of the state. Fund to the tune of Rs 3.25 crore has been allotted for the expenses involved in making arrangements for Rajyotsav,” the minister said while announcing that preparations for the mega event were completed and he is satisfied with the way the departments have put a coordinated efforts to make the event a success. He said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be the chief guest on the first day of the Rajyotsav on Friday. Governor Anusuiya Uikey would be the chief guest on the second day Saturday and Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant will be the chief guest on the last day of Rajyotsav Sunday.
 
All the ministers of the state government would be guests of honour, said minister Bhagat. There will be stalls of 18 state departments at the venue, eight stalls would be from public sector undertakings, 36 stalls from Gramodyog, number of commercial stalls would be 52 and number of food stalls would be 40. Like every year, achievers in different fields would be honoured with various awards in memory of great personalities of the state, the minister said. On the first day, Yati Yatanlal Samman would be conferred on Vidyasagar Govindi Devi Charitable Trust, Sakra village of Dhamtari for work towards non-violence and protection of cow, Gundadhur award would be given to international volleyball player from Raipur Dipesh Kumar Sinha, Minimata Samman would be given to Rukhmani Chaturvedi from Bhilai for her work towards women upliftment, Guru Ghasidas Award would be given to Guru Ghasidas Sahitya and Sanskrit Akademi, Raipur, for social awakening and justice, Pt Ravishankar Shukla award would be given to Jan Swasthya Sahyogi Ganiyari, Bilaspur, for contribution towards socio-economic and education sector, Pt Sundarlal Sharma award would be given to Syed Ayub Ali Mir of Raipur for contribution towards literature/local language, Chakradhar Samman would be given to Mirza Masood for contribution towards Art and Music, Dau Mandraji Samman would be given to Kuleshwar Tamrakar of Durg for Folk Art/Craft, Dr Khubchand Baghel Samman to Khirsagar Patel of Sarangrah for Agriculture, and Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Patrakarita Puraskar would be given to Romshankar Yadav (Print Media) and Gyanendra Tiwari (Electronic Media) respectively.
 
On the second day, Thakur Pyarelal Singh Award would be given to Nitin Potai (president, district small forest produce cooperative society Kanker) for contribution towards cooperative sector, Hazi Hassan Ali Award would be given to Nasir Ali Nasir from Raipur for promoting Urdu language, Maharaja Pravirchandra Bhanjdev Award would be given to Archer Girivar Singh from Bilaspur in Para-Archery category, Madhukhar Kher Smriti Patrakarita Samman (Print Media, English) would be given to Rashmi Abhishek Mishra, Danveer Bhamashah award would be given to Sitaram Agrawal from Raipur for his inspirational work and Dhanwantari award would be given to Professor R N Tripathi for his contribution to Ayurved.
 
On day three, Maharaja Agrasen Samman would be given to Ramji Lal Agrawal from Raipur for social integrity, Bilasabai Kevtin Samman would be given to Sudeep Das of Mana Camp (Raipur) for fishery, Sanskrit Bhasha Samman would be given to Professor Kamta Prasad Tripathi Piyush, Khairagarh, Pt Madhavrao Sapre Rashtriya Rachanatmak Samman-2018 would be given to senior journalist Ravish Kumar, Pt Lakhanlal Mishra award would be given to Manish Singh Parihar (Inspector, Dallirajhara) for his achievements in crime investigation, and Maharaja Ramanuj Pratap Singhdeo award would be given to Prashant Shekhar Sharma (Bhilai) and NTPC Lara, Raigarh.
