CM reviews law and order situation, appeals people to maintain peace

Police and administration officials should remain active and alert: CM 
 
Chief Minister Kamal Nath reached the police headquarters on Saturday and reviewed the law and order situation of Madhya Pradesh in a high-level meeting. Kamal Nath directed the police and administration officials to remain active and vigilant in work. The Chief Minister has appealed to the people of the State to honour the unanimous decision of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case and co-operate in maintaining peace in the State. GAD Minister and Bhopal district incharge Dr Govind Singh and Public Relations Minister P C Sharma were also present in the meeting. Chief Minister Kamal Nath postponed his previously scheduled Mandla tour and returned to Bhopal from Delhi and reached the Mantralaya.
 
After a discussion with senior Government officials, the Chief Minister went to the State Situation Room at the Police Headquarters, where he viewed the law and order related information coming from all over the State. The Chief Minister also held a meeting with senior police and Government officials in the situation room. He said that peace and harmony should prevail in the state. He told them to establish constant contact with the citizens and alert them against any kind of rumours. The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to co-operate with the police and administration in maintaining the traditional brotherhood, peace and harmony.
 
He said that the government stands with every citizen of the state. Anti-social elements trying to disturb law and order and disturb peace will be dealt with sternly. All the officers of police and administration have been directed by the government in this connection. The Chief Minister said that this state belongs to all of us. Our culture should remain protected. It is our mutual responsibility to ensure that our development remains unaffected and routine life remains normal. Kamal Nath said that we should defeat the elements who spread disharmony with the message of brotherhood and love. Chief Secretary S R Mohanty, Director General of Police V K Singh, Principal Secretary (Home) S N Mishra, Additional Director General of Police Intelligence S W Naqvi and the senior officials concerned were present in the meeting.
