JMC officials ensure peace in city on Ayodhya verdict day

Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has played a vital role in getting ensured peace and law and order situation in the city after Supreme Court’s verdict on Ayodhya issue. In view of the judgment, the JMC administration had cancelled holiday of all senior officials, on Saturday. The officials were asked to keep their mobiles on throughout the day. Following Municipal Commissioner Ashish Kumar's directions, senior officials have been keeping close eye over activities on public places like squares and important routes through CCTV cameras from Integrated Command and Control Centre.
 
JMC employees have been doing announcement of district administration’s directions through public addressed systems installed at important squares. Besides, they also informing citizens about enforcement of Section 144 in the city. The JMC administration has ensured deployment of officials and employees, round the clock at Health Department, divisional offices, Fire Department, Anti-encroachment department. JMC employees have been doing announcement of administration through public address system in the city. It has deployed fire tenders in sensitive areas like Hanumantal, Deendayal Square, Inter State Bus Terminal, Police Control Room, Cantonment Board, Ranjhi etc.
 
The JMC has also beefed up security at all water filtration plants. The Municipal Commissioner had issued directions to senior officials for informing the district administration immediately if they noticed any susceptive person or activity in the city. Senior officials and employees of Integrated Command and Control Centre were asked to keep close eye over activities through CCTV cameras, installed at all important squares. Officials who were remained on toes included Municipal Commissioner Ashish Kumar, CEO of Smart City Ashish Kumar Pathak, Assistant Commissioner T S Kumre, R K Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Ayachi, Anju Singh, Executive Engineer Kamlesh Shrivastava, Naveen Lonare and others.
