Post verdict situation in C’garh peaceful

‘Men in Khaki’ heaved sigh of relief as situation across Chhattisgarh is normal and no untoward incident was reported post the verdict of Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya on Saturday. The much-awaited verdict was welcomed by both Hindu and Muslim communities across Chhattisgarh. Security across the state was heightened ahead of Ayodhya title dispute case’s verdict and Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all the districts have been directed to put forces available with them on alert mode for preventing any untoward incident if arise after the Apex Court verdict. Senior police personnel across the state were personally keeping hawk eye on situation in areas under their jurisdiction.
 
Liquor shops were kept close to avert any unforeseeable incident along with extensive patrolling, deployment of heavy posse of police personnel and other measures. However, Chhattisgarh Police successfully managed to maintain peace and harmony across the state pre as well as post verdict, security arrangement has not been relaxed anticipating 
trouble-mongers may take benefit of the existing situation for creating disturbance during Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi to be celebrated on Sunday.
 
“No report of untoward incident was received in Chhattisgarh. Senior police officials are keeping  close watch on the law and order situation,” stated a senior police officer. It is to be mentioned here that on Friday, Director General of Police (DGP) D M Awasthi gave necessary instructions to all the Range Inspectors General (IGs) and Superintendents of Police by chairing a video conferencing. During the meeting, DGP Awasthi directed officials to beefed-up security arrangements in districts under their respective jurisdiction.
