Vidarbha Mahila Sanstha Office-bearers booked for siphoning off Rs 1.13 crore

Five office-bearers and employees of Vidarbha Mahila Nagari Sahakari Pat Sanstha for siphoning of Rs 1.13 crore from the society. Hingna police have registered an offence against the accused persons. The accused have been identified as Pushpa Sunil Modak, Sunil Domaji Modak, Kashinath Kishan Chouke, Digambar Borghate, Pranay Itankar, all residents of Nagpur. According to police, the accused are office-bearers and employees of the society.
 
The accused had siphoned of the money by forging documents of depositors and also forged bills. On the basis of complaint given by Tejrao Mahadeorao Gawutare (45),a resident of Wadadhamna, the Hingna Police have registered the case under Sections 420, 468, 471, 477 (a), 406, 408 and 34 of Indian Penal Code against all the accused employees of the Vidarbha Mahila Nagari Sahakari Pat Sanstha.
 
 
Woman robbed of Rs 48,000 cash A motorcycle-borne youth robbed a woman of her bag containing Rs 48,000 cash and mobile phone at Chakradhar Nagar in Hudkeshwar Police Station area. The victim, Sangita Satish Helwatkar (53, a resident of Plot No. B-17, Shrinath Sai Nagar, near Omkar Nagar was going somewhere on her scooterette at 8.30 pm. When she was passing through Basket Ball ground of Chakradhar Nagar, the robber came on a bike from behind and snatched away her bag. Before she could raise an alarm, the robber sped away from the spot. On her complaint, Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case under Section 392 of Indian Penal Code. Attempts are being made to ascertain the identity of the accused through CCTV cameras, police said.
