Police crack auto driver’s murder mystery

Police have solved the blind murder mystery of an auto-rickshaw driver and nabbed a woman and minor boy for killing the man. Man was killed with sharp-edged weapon by the minor boy on the contract given by woman following her illicit relation with the deceased. The accused has been identified as Geeta Chakrawarty (40), wife of Maddu Chakrawarty, a resident of Sharda Chowk in Garha. Police have seized a knife used for killing the man and cash of Rs 31,000 of Rs 35,000 given for contract killing.
 
Superintendent of Police Amit Singh disclosed this while addressing a press conference on Friday. On October 27, police received information from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital that a man was admitted for treatment of his critical injury in an attack with sharp-edged weapon.
 
Receiving the information, police team reached hospital and found that a man named Avadh Naresh Tiwari (38), resident of Indira Basti Sahu Mohalla, Sharda Chowk in Garha, was admitted by Sunil Lodhi who succumbed to his critical injuries undergoing treatment at the hospital.
 
In further investigation, wife of deceased informed that during the treatment, Avadh Naresh retrieved consciousness when he informed that Geeta Chakrawarty and her husband Maddu Chakrawarty, her brother-in-law, Jagdish Chakrawarty and their tenant took her in Bhulan area under a controversy and attacked him. Acting on the complaint, Lordganj police registered a case under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC and started investigation into the case. Taking a serious note, SP Amit Singh constituted a team under the supervision of ASP (South) Dr Sanjeev Uike and CSP Kotwali Deepak Mishra. Investigating the case, police team led by SHO of Lordganj police station Madhur Pateria detained the suspects named Geeta Chakrawarty, Maddu Chakrawarty and Jagdish Chakrawarty. In the interrogation, the accused broke out and confessed for giving contract of killing Avadh Naresh Tiwari. Geeta Chakrawarty informed that she knows Awadh Naresh since 10-12 years who supplies her illegal liquor stock for its retail selling. Her husband is mentally and physical incapable and Avadh Naresh alias Shiva took the advantage of situation for making physical relations with her. Her family members and children come to know the fact of her illicit relation with Avadh Naresh. She objected Avadh Naresh several times for avoiding meeting her but Shiva always standing in front of her house and used to abuse her for coming with him. Annoyed and helpless with regular harassment, she contacted a habitual criminal and awarded him contract for killing Avadh Naresh at the rate of Rs 35,000. The 17-year-old boy consumed liquor with Avadh Naresh and took him in Bhulan area and stabbed him with sharp-edged weapon. Continuing a rigorous search, police team nabbed the delinquent boy and seized a knife and cash of Rs. 31,000 from him. Case was solved by police team led by SHO, Madhur Pateria comprised of SI, Anil Mishra, PSI, Ganpat Lal Maraskole, Head Constables, Abhay Noriya, Bhragushan, Prashant Solanki, Constables, Rajiv Singh, Vikas Singh, Rajesh Badgaiyya, Manish Thakur, Rakesh Upvan and Santosh Kumar.
