Quality Month was inaugurated at BHEL through video conferencing by Dr Nalin Shinghal, CMD, BHEL, along with Functional Directors Manoj Varma, S Balakrishnan, S Gupta, Anil Kapoor, and Kamlesh Das. During the programme Dr Shinghal administered the Quality Pledge through VC who also signed the New Quality Policy of the organisation and released it on the occasion. Shinghal, in his address, emphasised on improvement in all facets of quality so that the same is reflected in customers’ confidence.

 

He stressed that BHEL is known for its quality products and we have to reinforce this trademark with renewed vigour.

He also interacted with the quality heads of different units and regions of BHEL. Later, directors emphasised that reduction in site complaints is testimony of good quality product. On this occasion C Ananda, Executive Director, BHEL (Bhopal), led the Bhopal Unit. Also, present in the programme were M S Kinra, General Manager (Quality), all General Managers, DROs and Heads of Quality Department. M S Kinra, shared salient initiatives taken by Bhopal unit in Quality Roadmap. All manufacturing units, engineering centres, and regions participated in the function through VC. At Bhopal, this programme was co-ordinated by A K Chaturvedi, AGM (QCS) and Anurag Shukla, AGM(BEX).
