NCC’s ‘Combined Annual Training Camp’ begins

A 10-day long ‘Combined Annual Training Camp’ of National Cadet Corps (NCC) started in Raipur on Friday in Shri Shankracharya Institute of Technology. The training camp scheduled to be concluding on November 10 is being organised by 27CG Bn NCC Raipur and inaugurated by Camp Commandant Colonel Chetan Gurbax, CO 27CG Bn NCC Raipur. Addressing the gathering, Colonel Chetan Gurbax has highlighted the aims and objectives of NCC to cadets.
 
Besides, the Colonel gave detailed information about health and hygiene, energy conservation and role of youths as NCC cadets in nation building as it is the largest uniformed volunteer youth organisation with over 13 lakh cadets to whom military training is given. Meanwhile, the officer exhorted cadres to focus of training with fun. Interacting with cadets, Colonel Chetan Gurbax said that training programme has been designed in such a way that every cadet may develop physical and mental ability to compete in various walk of life. Notably, in this training camp, around 600 cadets (from separate schools and colleges taking part in the camp) will be subjected to weapon training, firing, field craft, battle craft, drill, tug of war, spots, cultural activities, social activities, national integrity and various military subjects.
