Loco pilot booked for raping woman

A RAILWAY loco pilot has been booked by MP Nagar police for raping Betul-based woman in a city hotel by befriending her on a matrimonial site and false promise of marriage. According to SHO of MP Nagar, Manish Rai, 27-year-old victim basically hails from Betul district and presently she lives in a rented accommodation at Ashoka Garden area and does a private job.
In her complaint, she stated that she had registered on a matrimonial site on which the accused has also uploaded his profile. Through this site, they came to know each other and after chatting for several days they later exchanged their phone numbers. Soon they decided to meet and on May 25 this year, the accused convinced the victim to visit a hotel in MP Nagar area where he forcibly outraged her modesty and after raping her, he promised to marry her.
On such false promises, he continued to exploit her sexually on several occasions. However, he recently denied to keep his words after which the victim decided to filed a police complaint against the accused. Responding to her complaint, accused railway loco pilot has been booked on charges of rape and efforts have been intensified by the police to arrest him as cops suspect that he might have duped several other women too and will be interrogated further.
