11 school vans seized for using LPG kits

Major crack down against school van operators on Monday at Polipathar near a private management school by a joint team of Road Transport Officer and traffic police. As during the special check carried out 11 school vans were found operating with use of gas kit. The joint move was headed by RTO Santosh Pal along with DSP Traffic Mayank Singh. According to information it was panic like situation among school van operators at Polipathar when in a sudden crack down a joint team of RTO and Traffic police carried out search of several school van deployed for transporting students from the private management run school. The team found 11 school van being operated by gas kit illegally.
As the school van caught were found did not seek permission from RTO to use gas kit in their respective vehicles. About the crack down against school van operators it is informed that the joint team of transport department and traffic police in presence of RTO Santosh Pal and DSP Traffic Mayank Singh. Carried out intensive checking of school vans found transporting students of the private school. Of the several school van checked 11 were found using gas kit illegally.
Out of 11 vehicles 8 school van were imposed upon with penalty also that the illegal gas fitted in the van were summarily seized. While three school van operators managed to run away from the spot leaving their vehicles abandoned on the spot. The school van were later lifted by crane and were stationed in police station. The special checking move was carried out in presence of RTO Santosh Pal along with DSP Traffic Mayank Singh, RTI Subedar Mohan Singh, and employees from RTO and traffic police.
