Congress Govt has cheated farmers in the name of loan waiver

Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, workers and farmers, on Monday took to streets and staged massive protest against alleged anti-farmer polices of the State Government under Kisan Akrosh Andolan. They conducted foot march and burnt the copies of erroneous electricity bills and Government advertisements at Ghantaghar. Former State President, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan led the protest. BJP leaders and workers also held heated exchange of words with Police personnel who used light cane charge to disperse agitated party workers.

Addressing a huge gathering of party workers, Chouhan alleged that the Congress Government has cheated farmers in the name of loan waiver. It is not providing compensation of crop loss to farmers. Likewise, the tiller of the soil are not getting needed electricity for irrigation. They are deprived of benefits of Bhavantar Yojana. Chouhan further alleged that in 10 months the Congress Government has ruined the State. Farmers have been forced to commit suicide, youths are not getting employment, elderly people are not getting pension, development works are at standstill. Despite such odds, the Government is in deep slumber. He said the time has come when people must demand explanation from the State Government. Denouncing harshly the State Government for overlooking farmers' welfare, Chouhan said the farmers have lost their crops in hail.

Till the date neither the Chief Minister nor any of his Minister visited farms to see actual loss. Likewise, the State Government has yet not provided bonus of last year wheat crop to farmers. The former President of BJP said the party is standing with farmers and would continue the battle till all issues of farmers are not resolved.
