SC verdict in Ayodhya case will be acceptable: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind
   Date :07-Nov-2019

NEW DELHI :

PROMINENT Muslim body Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on Wednesday said that the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case will be acceptable to it, and appealed to Muslims to respect the verdict. Jamiat President Maulana Arshad Madani asserted that Muslims’ claim in the case is based on historical facts and evidence that the Babri Masjid was constructed without demolishing any temple or any other place of worship.

At a press conference here, he urged all citizens to maintain peace irrespective of the nature of the verdict. The Ayodhya case is not merely a case of land dispute, but a test case of the supremacy of the law, he was quoted as saying by a statement issued by Jamiat.

Centre cautions UP Govt ahead of Ayodhya verdict

NEW DELHI :

AS the Supreme Court is expected to deliver its judgement in the Ayodhya land dispute case next week, Union Home Ministry has cautioned the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government to ensure all security preparedness in the temple town, which would be turned into virtual fortress to thwart any untoward incident posing a threat to the law and order situation.

Citing Intelligence inputs on terror threat, the Ministry has alerted the Uttar Pradesh Government through a circular issued last week on the orders of Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, directing maximum deployment of police force on the ground and keep tabs on rumours on social networking sites and through SMS when the apex court would announce its verdict over the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute.
