IAF Akash Ganga parachute team to participate in Air Fest 2019 today

The air show will be held from 10 am to 12 Noon on November 8 and 10 
 
The noise of aircraft dominating the skies is building up the excitement among Nagpurians for the Air Fest-2019 at Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur, on November 8 (Friday) and November 10 (Sunday). One of the key attractions of the show will be a stunning display of skills by Akash Ganga team of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The bravehearts of Akash Ganga team will demonstrate their skills during the two-day Air Fest-2019. The team for Friday’s demonstration in Nagpur will be led by Wg Cdr K B S Samyal, Chief Instructor. He has 1600+ jumps to his credit.
 
He has many records registered in Limca Book of Records. The spotter for the demonstration will be Sqn Ldr Manoj Goswami. The team will be performing tricolour formation to be led by Wg Cdr K B S Samyal. The other members of the formation include Master Warrant Officer A K Biswas and Junior Warrant Officer S Nagar. The second Canopy Relative Work or CRW formation is hand-plane to be performed by Warrant Officer Mandal and Junior Warrant Officer Alok Yadav. It may be mentioned here that Akash Ganga team made a national record in the field of CRW hand-plane formation along with the Indian flag measuring 20x30 feet, on the occasion of the Republic Day earlier this year.
 
Akash Ganga is India’s premier military parachute display team based at Paratroopers Training School, Agra. The team was raised on August 9, 1987 at Air Force Station, Agra. The team aims at inspiring the youth of the country to be part of the IAF. The members of the team are qualified parachute jump instructors. The unit is responsible for training and supporting all Indian air-borne forces as well as friendly foreign nations.
