Winter Session of Assembly to start from December 17
    Date :09-Nov-2019

The seven-day Winter Session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly will commence on December 17. Assembly Secretariat issued notification in this connection on Friday. According to Assembly’s Principal Secretary A P Singh, total five sittings will take place in this seven-day Assembly session. During this period, Government and finance related works would be executed.
Assembly Secretariat will receive information of adjournment and call attention motion till December 5. The information under rule 287 could be given in assembly secretariat till December 11. The Winter Session of Assembly is likely to start on a stormy note as the issue related to BJP MLA from Pawai seat, Prahalad Lodhi is hot. BJP is likely to raise his case with full strength.
Notably, Bhopal Special Court had handed over two year’s sentence to Prahalad Lodhi in an old case. After a few days of Special Court decision, Assembly Speaker N P Prajapati disqualified him and declared Pawai Assembly seat as vacant. After a few days of Speaker’s decision, Lodhi managed to get relief from the High Court. Apart from this, Opposition is also going to make a law and order situation a big issue on the floor of assembly as according to it, law and order situation has reached to lowest ebb in state. Apart from this, Opposition is also going to raise loan waiver issue and farmers plight in the wake of damage to crops by incessant rains in big manner. Government is wary of opposition moves and hence it is well prepared to repel the attack of opposition with full strength.
