Governor Lalji Tandon reviewing working of Higher Education Department at Raj Bhawan said that efforts are being made to make the quality of higher education better in Madhya Pradesh. Governor also expected necessary co-operation from Union Government in this work. Union Human Resources Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Higher Education Minister Jeetu Patwari participated in the meeting.
Governor Tandon said that unique knowledge of all fields, including Indian philosophy, is available in ancient languages and Atal Behari Vajpayee Hindi University was established in Madhya Pradesh for intensive publicity of this knowledge on global level. Governor emphasised on giving glorious form to the university. Union Human Resources Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal appreciating the efforts for quality education in Madhya Pradesh.
He directed the secretary of University Grants Commission to take necessary action for providing 12-B recognition to Hindi University. Pokhriyal said that work of developing Atal Behari Vajpayee Hindi University will be completed phase-wise.
Principal Secretary to CM Ashok Varnwal, Principal Secretary Higher Education, Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary to Governor Manohar Dubey, UGC Secretary Professor Rajnish Jain and officials of Central and State Governments were present in the meeting.
