An FIR was lodged against land Mafia Raju Kabadi aka Mohammed Ismile and Harinaran Maran at Neelbad Police Station for illegally occupying Government land in Goragaon village in the State capital. The State Government has begun to tighten noose around the mafia in the State capital and the collector has now instructed to take stern actions against them. In connection with the same FIR was lodged against Kabadi and Maran for illegally occupying 16.802 hectares of farmland.
 
According to the sources in district administration, names of some BJP leaders are likely to come up during this campaign against the mafia. Similarly, an FIR was registered in Bilkhiriya Police Station against Lakhan Singh Rajput for allegedly taking control of land worth Rs 3 crore, owned by complainant Himmat Singh Meena.
 
BJP gives patronage to mafias: MLA Choudhary Under the patronage of BJP Government, land mafia Mohammed Shafi had encroached land worth Rs 250 crore of the renowned Pashupati Nath temple in Mandsaur, said Kalapipal MLA Kunal Choudhary on Sunday.Choudhary made allegation while addressing a press conference at Pradesh Congress Committee office.
 
He said that the land of temple was freed after Chief Minister Kamal Nath launched his anti-mafia campaign. Government land of more than Rs 2,000 crore has been freed from illegal occupancy, he added. Lashing out at the BJP, Choudhary further added that the rule of previous government had given patronage to these Mafias in Mandsaur. Illegal construction of other Mafia Sudhakhar Maratha and Chunnu Lal were razed during a joint action of district administration, BMC and the police department.
