Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge), Prahalad Singh Patel during his short visit to city visited Polytechnic Kalan Niketan College building and premises on Monday. Patel was accompanied by his wife Pushplata Patel along with senior journalist Ravindra Bajpai, Dr Anupam Sinha, Raghvendra Singh Patel, Pabal Singh Patel, Rajkumar Singh and Mamlesh Sharma.
 
During the visit, he inspected the room vacated by the Government Lalit Kalan Sansthan where various veteran artists and painters of the country have worked and these rooms are also having artwork done by these great painters like late Ram Manohar Sinha, Late Amit Lal Vegad, late Bhagwan Das Gupta, Late Kamta Sagar, Hari Shrivastava, Om Pandey, Dr Hari Bhatnagar and many other Artists.
 
He said that for the conservation of valuable art work and priceless paintings on the walls should be developed as museum or art gallery. Simultaneously, Patel added that in order to create awareness amongst masses about the ongoing issue of Citizenship Amendment Act passed in Parliament we are planning to work on concept painting. In this our wish is to invite artist to explain the agony of rehabilitants through paintings. Union Minister Culture, Prahalad Singh Patel said that after seeing the premises of Kalan Niketan which has it own history and memories that are historical. He said a communication would be opened with the State Government that how this historic valuable heritage of painters, artists of the city could be conserved and saved.
