“Sahajta, sadagi, aur bandagi thi; Jab nahi the whatsapp aur facebook to jingadi thi.... jhoot bolneka sabse bada kendra hai facebook; jo chehro se baat karta hai, logon se nahi. Isse zyaada jhhooth aur kuch nahi. Hum chehre dekh kar comment badal dete hai.” With his satirical poem, Shailesh Lodha, an actor, writer, poet, famous for Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma made the audience to realise situation in present society. “We have become so insensitive that when someone meets with an accident, we record a video rather than saving his life,” Lodha said. “Mobile phones have snatched away everything and replaced things like watch, pen and paper and calculator,” he added. Khasdar Mahotsav on Saturday had witnessed a huge crowd to hear funny, comedy and satirical poems by Shailesh Lodha.

The popularity of Lodha was such that people from audience were demanding him from time to time. It was indeed a unique moment to watch the ‘Hasya Vyanga Kavi Sammelan’ which had pooled a big audience at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education. “Chalan Ke Dar Se Ab Mein to Kamod Par Bhi Seat Belt Bandhkar Baithta hu.” A satirical poem commenting on the Union Minister’s decision of increasing the fine of RTO by Lodha spread spells of laughters in the ground. Even Union Minister Nitin Gadkari could not control his laughter. “Ek Kilkari Boli Niyati Se Ki Aansu Mat Bahao Na Bhigne Do Nayano Ko..... Mein Hu Uus Pita Ki Santan Jis Ne peeth Nahi Dikhayi.. Garva Hein Maa Mein Tumhari Kokh Mein Hu..”

The poem on Shivaram, a martyr of Pulwana and a resident of Jhunjhunu presented by Lodha also brought tears in the eyes of audience. Earlier, Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari; Mayor Sandeep Joshi; former MP Datta Meghe, Suresh Gupta of Bharat Vikas Parishad; MLC Prof Anil Sole; former Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule; Madhavi Khode and Pravin Datke lit the traditional lamp to mark opening of Hasya Vyanga Kavi Sammelan. Abhijeet Joshi who had penned theme song of Khasdar Mahotsav was felicitated on this occasion. ‘Atmadhoon’ the third book of compilation of poems penned by MLC Anil Sole was released during the programme. Prof Madhup Pandey started the programme with his satirical poem by defining poets as ‘Prakhyat, Vikhyat and Kukhyat’.
 
He then handed over the forum to poet Sanjay Jhala. Poetess Mumtaz Naseem presented Saraswati Vandana as “Hey Saraswati Maa, Tere Charno Mein Arpan Mere Do Jahan.” When Jhala called poet Dinesh Diggaj as ‘Ajit Pawar of the dais, audience gave a huge round of applause. His poem “Andhon Ko Motor Car Dene Ki Jarurat Kya Thi.. Dakuon Ko Pura Bazar Dene Ki Jarurat Kya Thi... Jaab Malum tha Udhar Lekar Bhag Jayega... Toh Vijay Malya Ko Itna Udhar Dene Ki Jarurat Kya thi” was well-accepted by the audience with a spell of laughter. Noted poets like Pravin Shukla, Jagdish Solanki and Madhup Pandey enthralled the audience with their creative, imaginative and thought-provoking poems.
