One of four men arrested
Forest Department night patrolling team with a poacher in their custody and carcasses of deer lying before them.

A Night patrolling team of the Forest Department apprehended one of the four men on the charges of poaching Spotted Deer (Cheetal) under Barnawapara and Devpur Range in the midnight of December 7. One of the three absconding accused is Javed Farooque, who is an employee of Forest Development Corporation. Even as the search for the trio was on, Forest Department had produced caught accused Narendra Patel.
 
Assistant Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) Arun Pandey informed that forest staff spotted a car CG-06 GP-8910 in suspicious condition on Barnawapara-Pakrid road near close to Hardi beat. The patrolling team intercepted the vehicle and thoroughly checked it. They discovered two dead Cheetal in the boot-space of the car. Besides, another male deer was found dead near the spot. Staff seized the Cheetals and initiated legal actions. The patrolling team was comprised of R S Mishra, Krishnanu Chandrakar, P K Sinha, Mohammad Mobiya Khan, and Salik Ram Dadsena
