‘Values imbibed by IMT, Nagpur are vital’

“Always remember, this is just a starting point of your professional career; in the journey ahead, you are going to be part of a marathon for which you will need to sustain and excel in the long run,” said Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman- Aditya Birla Group during convocation ceremony at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur. The Institute hosted its 14th convocation ceremony recently, which was presided over by Kamal Nath, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Chief Mentor of IMT Group.


Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman- Aditya Birla Group, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation Address. At the outset, Dr Subhajit Bhattacharyya, Director of IMT, Nagpur, presented the annual report of Institute of Management Technology Nagpur for the year 2018-19.
Birla stressed upon the importance of value system in a person’s as well as organisation’s growth trajectory. He shed light on how values imbibed by IMT are in sync with the values enunciated by the Aditya Birla Group. He also elucidated on the three key factors of success, broad vision, mutual trust and high performance teams.


Kamal Nath emphasised on the importance of adaptability in order to excel in this evolving world of innovation and technology. He sensitised students on the changing dynamics of business world along with the technological disruptions.
Meritorious students were felicitated on this occasion.


The award winners for their outstanding performance in the academics were Sumit Sujit Roy (overall batch topper), Sanket Sunil Bhoyar (overall batch second position holder, Sulagna Kar (Gold Medal in Marketing stream), Dhiman Nag (Silver medal in Marketing stream), Sanket Sunil Bhoyar (Gold Medal in Finance stream), Sarthak Sahoo (Silver medal in Finance stream), Sumit Sujit Roy (Gold medal in PGDM full-time) and Ankit Sharma (Silver medal in PGDM full-time). Sumit Sujit Roy was awarded the ‘Best Graduating Student’ of the institute for the batch 2017-19.
