Khargone’s day temp reaches 45 degrees Celsius Many places reeling under max temp of 41 degrees Celsius, heat wave likely in some parts

Weather conditions have suddenly turned harsh as mercury is on the rise in State. During noon hours, warm winds are burning the skin. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 40.1 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees above normal. This is highest maximum temperature recorded by Bhopal in summer season so far. Khargone was the hottest place in State with maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. People are surprised to notice sea change in weather conditions all of a sudden. Though heat was there but temperatures were hovering around 35 degrees Celsius in most places of State till day after yesterday. But now, several places of State are recording maximum

Indore’s maximum temperature was 40.3 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature at 39 degrees Celsius and Gwalior at 40.4 degrees Celsius respectively. Apart from this, Shajapur recorded maximum temperature at 42 degrees Celsius. Several places including Ujjain, Khajuraho, Hoshangabad, Betul, Naugaon, Sagar and Damoh reeled under maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius. The sudden jump by mercury level has left many persons astonished People are saying that all of a sudden temperatures have increased from now itself and hovering around 40 degrees Celsius, then what will be the situation in the month of May and June. The duty officer of Weather Department said that temperatures have increased substantially in Western Madhya Pradesh and temperatures of Eastern Madhya Pradesh are more or less at normal. The temperatures have increased as warm winds are coming from Gujarat and Rajasthan. Winds are currently westerly in State. The temperature will remain same till Saturday and after Sunday, there would be marginal decline in mercury level.
