One of 2 drug peddlers held with 45 kgs ganja worth Rs 4.50 lakh

In a major breakthrough, Panagar police nabbed one of the two drug peddlers and seized 45 kilograms ganja worth Rs 4.50 lakh from him. The arrested has been identified as Prakash alias Vicky Pandey (24), son of Sukhdev Pandey, a resident of Jaiprakash Ward in Panagar while another accused Deepak Jain (32), son of Naresh Jain, a resident of Gurunanak Ward in Panagar managed to escape from the spot.
 
 
 
Superintendent of Police Nimish Agrawal informed this while addressing a press conference, on Friday.
SP Agrawal informed that acting on a tip-off police team started a search under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Rajesh Kumar Tripathi and CSP, Adhartal, Kaushal Singh.
 
Continuing the search, police team led by SHO of Panagar police station, Dr Ravindra Kumar (IPS) succeeded in detaining a suspect named Vicky Pandey, while another suspect managed to escape from the spot. During search, police team seized 45 kgs ganja worth Rs 4.50 lakh from him in five sacks.
 
Panagar police have registered a case under Section 8/20 of NDPS Act while a search is underway to arrest another accused. The drug peddler was arrested with active efforts of police team led by SHO, Dr Ravindra Verma comprised of SI, D P Bhagat, ASI, V D Dwivedi, Constables, Rajesh Kewat, Pushpendra, Vinod Sharma, Vikrant, Woman Constable, Rashmi Narvaria.
