CM Bhupesh Baghel to flag off ‘Nyay Yatra’ in Kirandul today

Congress to take out “Nyay Yatra” to publicise party’s minimum income guarantee scheme Chief Minister and President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) Bhupesh Baghel will flag off ‘Nyay Yatra’ from Kirandul of Dantewada district on Sunday. Addressing a press conference at state party office Rajiv Bhawan on Saturday, CPCC’s Communication Department Chairman Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said that the Congress party would take out ‘Nyay Yatra’ to publicise Congress party’s minimum income guarantee scheme- ‘Nyuntam Aay Yojana’. Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has announced to implement the minimum income guarantee scheme in the country if the Congress party is voted to power in the Lok Sabha elections.
 
Five crore families and 25 crore people will directly benefit from the scheme and the scheme will be helpful to eradicate poverty in the country, Trivedi added. Besides, the achievements of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel led Congress government will be highlighted during the Nyay Yatra, said Trivedi. The Congress leader said that the CPCC has given responsibility to its three frontal organisations- Mahila Congress, Youth Congress and National Students Union of India (NSUI) to take out the Nyay Yatra in the state. The Congress leaders will perform pooja-archana at Maa Danteshwari Mandir in Dantewada town at 12 noon. Later Chief Minister Baghel will flag off “Nyay Yatra” from Kirandul at 2 pm.
 
The Nyay Yatra will reach Jagdalpur the same day where a road show and public meeting will be held, said the CPCC’s Communication Department Chairman. The Nyay Yatra will pass through all 11 Lok Sabha constituencies. In first phase, the Nyay Yatra will cover 525 kilometres distance, he added. CPCC Secretary Sanni Agrawal has been appointed as the Convener of the Nyay Yatra. Chhattisgarh Pradesh Mahila Congress Phulodevi Netam, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Yuva Congress Working Presidents Koko Padhi, Mahendra Gangotri and NSUI State President Akash Sharma have been appointed as the In-charges of the Nyay Yatra. CPCC In-charge General Secretary Girish Dewangan, Vikas Tiwari, Akash Sharma and other leaders were present at the press conference.
