Dhamtari City Kotwali accorded title of Best Police Station

Director General of Police (DGP) DM Awasthi presented the certificate of Best Police Station to Superintendent of Police Balaji Rao and the then City Kotwali Dhamtari Station House Officers (SHO) Santosh Jain and Rakesh Kumar Mishra at Police Head Quarters (PHQ) on Saturday. Union Home Ministry had accorded Dhamtari City Kotwali with the title of Best Police Station in the Nation for year 2018 recently.

In the selection process, Union Home Ministry officials had visited the Dhamtari City Kotwali in 2018 and inspected on various standards such as maintenance and pace of investigation into pending cases, conviction in serious cases, image of police station in public and confidence of people on police and other standards. DGP Awasthi encouraged other police stations of the Chhattisgarh to take a leaf out of Dhamtari Kotwali.
