Jolt to BJP as MLA Rajendra Shukla’s elder brother joins Congress party

In a major jolt to BJP, ex-minister and sitting BJP MLA Rajendra Shukla’s elder brother Vinod Kumar Shukla joined Congress in presence of Chief Minister Kamal Nath in State capital on Saturday. Vinod Kumar Shukla is an influential leader of Vindhya region. Former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh played an important role in induction of Vinod Kumar Shukla and his supporters into Congress. At a time when BJP is trying to keep its Lok Sabha seats intact in State, Vinod Kumar Shukla’s decision to join Congress has left it shocked. Apart from this Satna’s former BJP district vice president and current District Panchayat Vice Chairperson Dr Rashmi Singh Patel and former Maihar Mandal Adhyaksh Dheeraj Pandey also joined Congress.

Besides, retired Major General Shyam Shrivastava also held the hand of Congress. Kamal Nath said that now everyone is understanding the real picture and deciding to take the side of truth. BJP is sweating hard and still it had not decided the Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate. Making a scathing attack on BJP, he told that people are now not ready to get deceived. He also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to distract the attention of the people. On this occasion, Congress leaders Chandraprabha Shekhar, Rajeev Singh, Shobha Ojha, Ministers Lakhan Ghanghoria and P C Sharma etc were are also present.
