Rabindranath Tagore varsity holds workshop on data analytics

Department of Computer Science and Engineering and CS/IT of Rabindranath Tagore University jointly organised two-day national workshop on ‘Big data Analytics with R’ sponsored by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. The inaugural session was chaired by Professor V K Verma, Convener Core Research Group of University, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Dean Academic and Dr Pratima Gautam, Convener and Dean (cs/it). Dr S Veenadhari, Co-Convener of workshop, welcomed all the delegates and dignitaries on the dais. Professor Verma told the importance of workshop and congratulated both the departments.
 
During these two days Dr Hukum Chandra, National fellow and Principal Scientist delivered a talk on utility of ‘R’ language in today’s research scenario. Dr S B Lal, Senior Scientist from ICR, educated the participants on Hadoop and Bigdata. The participants also briefed about how to propose a research project for fetching external funds and sources of funding agencies by Dr Rajesh Saxena, Principal Scientist of MPCST. A total 50 participants from various universities, colleges were benefited from these workshop deliberations. During valedictory Dr Rajendra Gupta, Co-Convener of the workshop expressed gratitude to MPCST for sponsoring the event.
