BJP has accused Chief Minister Kamal Nath of hiding information while filing nomination papers as Congress candidate for Chhindwara Assembly by-election on Wednesday. It has demanded that action against CM should be taken under Public Representation Act and his nomination papers should be cancelled. In this regard, it has given memorandum to the Election Commission. A delegation of BJP comprising party’s Vice President Vijesh Lunawat, Shantilal Lodha, Spokesman Rahul Kothari etc reached the Election Commission and submitted memorandum over aforesaid issue. BJP said that Kamal Nath has not mentioned about the case registered himself at Shyamla Hills Police Station. Notably, CM Kamal Nath is fighting by-election of Chhindwara Assembly seat.

The by-election for Chhindwara seat was necessitated as sitting Congress MLA Deepak Saxena resigned so that Kamal Nath can contest from his seat. To continue member of Assembly, it is necessary for Kamal Nath to contest and win assembly election. Chhindwara Assembly seat is considered as stronghold of Congress and it will go for by-poll along with Chhindwara Lok Sabha election.
