Four temples’ theft cases cracked, 2 held

Piplani police have nabbed two miscreants from Durga Mandir involved in stealing valuables from temples and recovered valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh on Tuesday. Police team acted swiftly after receiving information about two miscreants at Durga Mandir and nabbed the two from the spot. In the initial investigation, police recovered screw driver and iron rods which were meant to break locks and door and target valuables inside the temple. The two were identified as Sanju Uike (21) of Govindpura and Shanu Khan (33) of Ashoka Garden. During the investigation the accused confirmed that they planned to target valuables from the temple but were nabbed before they could burgle.
 
Nabbed accused confessed that they have stolen as many as 16 bells, including two bells from Mahadev temple Piplani and 10 bells from Pashupatinath temple Govindpura, while one each from temples in MP Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar and Siddharta Enclave. The total weight of the bells is around 1.5 quintals. Police have registered a case under Section 41(1-4) of the CrPC and sections 401 and 379 of the IPC and started further investigation. Meanwhile, Ratibad police have nabbed two miscreants involved in burglaries and one buyer and recovered valuables worth Rs 1.55 lakh from their possession on Tuesday. Acting on a tip off regarding two miscreants trying to sell goods were nabbed and when they were checked cable was recovered from their possession.
 
Later, in the investigation cable bundle, electrical goods and stationery goods were recovered. The two were identified as Asif Khan and Naveen Tomar and they provided details of Faizan Khan of Kamla Nagar, who was nabbed.
