Voters’ awareness camp held at Govt Geetanjali College

A voters’ awareness camp under SVEEP was organised for Lok Sabha Election-2019 at Government Geetanjali Girls PG (autonomous) College in the State capital on Thursday. The students were given information in detail about EVM, VVPAT and election process in the camp. The students were also given information about NOTA and about the importance of polling. They were appealed to cast their vote compulsorily. The election officers’ team comprising Dr R K Sharma, Dr Prabhat Pandey, Sandeep Shrivastava and Rajendra Sop.

College Principal Dr Alka David said that NCC and NSS units are conducting activities related to voters’ awareness. Camps for online and offline application for voter identity card were also organised and signature campaign for motivating the students and college staff is also underway. SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr Parveen Khanam, NCC in-charge Dr Prerna Azad and NSS programme officer Dr Pratiksha Sawle were present prominently in the camp.
