25 live cartridges of INSAS rifle, Naxal uniform recovered

AS many as 25 live cartridges of INSAS rifle and one green colour Naxal uniform were recovered in forest patches of Manjhi Kurusbodi under Durgukondal police station limits of Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district that will go for polling on April 18. The action was taken jointly by the district police and 175th battalion of Border Security Force. Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore said in the view upcoming Lok Sabha polls, a joint team of police and BSF personnel had left for search operations towards forest patches of Manhakal, Kututkurusbodi and Manjhi Kurusbodi. According to ASP, while security forces were passing through forest areas of Manjhi, they witnessed live cartridges and Naxal uniform hidden inside a hole of a tree. The cartridges were of INSAS rifle and uniform were taken out of tree and taken to police station. Besides, one radio pouch was also recovered from spot.
