2 held for robbing bike from farmer

The Khajuri police, on Saturday, claimed to have solved the loot case with a 22-year-old farmer which occurred 100 meters away from Chirayu Hospital. Two miscreants snatched a motorbike from victim while he was taking his pregnant sister, accompanied with mother, to hospital in Bairagarh late in the night on March 16.
 
The incident falsified the tall claims being made by Bhopal Police regarding intense night vigil and their crackdown on habitual offenders of city ahead of Lok Sabha polls. DIG Irshad Wali talking to mediapersons at the Police Control Room said that both the arrested accused are identified as Shubhangan Singh Parihar alias Lucky (21) of Shahdol and Suprabhat Singh Baghel alias Sahil (20) of Rewa and they are presently studying in college in Indore.
 
The accused were detained from Indore after going through grabs of around 150 CCTV cameras on Bhopal-Indore highway and looted bike Honda Dream Yuga has been recovered from their possession. When quizzed, they confessed to robbing bike as they wanted a bike to take their girlfriends for outing. Therefore, on the incident night when they saw victim Elam Singh Mewada of Borkhedi village with two women late in the night, they planned to target him.
 
The incident took place around 3:30 am when he along with his eight-month pregnant sister Suman and mother Pachasa Bai were heading toward a hospital in Bairagarh after his sister reported labour pain. Meanwhile, as they reached near Chirayu Hospital in Bhainsakhedi, both accused signalled them to stop after which Elam who was riding bike stopped his vehicle near them. However, as soon as he stopped his bike, the accused started manhandling with him and when he resisted, they snatched away his bike’s key from him and threatening to kill him and when trio get down from bike, they tried to escape on the bike. Elam’s mother grabbed bike from behind and was dragged for some distance and in this process, she sustained injury in both her legs.
