Heat wave continues in State, Bhopal sizzles at 41.8 degrees

Madhya Pradesh continues to be in grip of hot winds with mercury soaring around 42 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature was recorded at Khargone was 45.2 degrees Celsius, giving no relief to the people. Mercury in most of parts of State crossed the temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Bhopal recorded highest temperature as 41.8 degrees Celsius while minimum as 24.6 degree Celsius. Indore recorded highest temperature as 40.6 and minimum as 22.0 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded highest temperature on Saturday as 41.3 and minimum as 23.9 degrees Celsius while Gwalior recorded maximum and minimum temperature as 41.4 and 24.1 degree Celsius. Meteorology Department has forecast heat strokes in few areas of Bhopal, Sagar, Hoshangabad and Ujjain divisions. The department said in last 24 hours, drizzling was recorded in few parts of Jabalpur and remaining areas remained a dry. Katni witnessed 2.0 mm rain while Seoni witnessed 1.4 mm rain on Saturday.
 
Maximum temperature of most of divisions remained the same. Sagar, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions witnessed temperature more that the normal. Tikamgarh, Guna and Datia districts witnessed high temperature during night hours. Khargone was most affected with the heat stroke. Light rain was recorded in a few parts of Rewa, Shahdol, Indore, Chhatarpur, Panna, Sagar, Jabalpur, Katni, Hoshangabad, Chhindwara and Seoni. Warning heat stroke in several parts of State, the Weather Department suggested people to avoid direct contact with the sun rays, wear light colour cotton clothes, cover your head with cap or cotton cloths and drink sufficient water. The department has forecast maximum 42 degrees Celsius and minimum 25 degree Celsius temperature in Bhopal on Sunday. Rising temperature of city is troubling the denizens with poor health status.
 
The temperature at morning hours (8:30) touched the 34 degrees Celsius and till noon hours, temperature went to 41 degrees Celsius, which is 3.5 degrees Celsius more than the normal. Weather Department said that temperature will be rising more till April 15. They said as Sun is in North, sun ray are reaching to the earth in a very effective way and this can cause skin burning, eye irritation and other few systems on body. Ultra violet rays can also affect our body.
