Youth arrested with live cartridge

MADAN Mahal police nabbed a youth while keeping a live cartridge during a routine vehicle checking on Link Road. The accused has been identified as Amit Thakur (20), resident of Gora Bazar near Dairy Farm. SHO of Madan Mahal police station, Sandeep Ayachi informed that during a routine vehicles checking on Link Road policemen found that a youth riding on motorcycle (MP-20SP-9034) suddenly turned his motorcycle after witnessing vehicle checking.

Policemen held doubt on the suspect and managed to stop him after chasing. In his search, police found a live cartridge from his pocket. Police have seized the motorcycle and cartridge for further investigation. Madan Mahal police have registered a case under Section 3, 25 of Arms Act while further investigations are underway to ascertain reason behind possessing the cartridge and source of receiving the cartridge.
