Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat, Bishnu Datt Sharma’s candidature was opposed by ex-BJP MLA Vijay Bahadur Singh and his supporters on Monday. They demanded that Sharma should rather contest election from Morena. Actually, Vijay Bahadur Singh was in fray for Lok Sabha election and is unnerved after party decided the name of B D Sharma. When contacted, BJP District President of Chhattarpur Malkhan Singh told ‘The Hitavada’ that it is normal that when ticket is declared then some persons become angry and resort to various tantrums.

Ex-BJP MLA Vijay Bahadur Singh was also in race for Khajuraho Lok Sabha ticket and he is peeved after party gave ticket to BD Sharma. However, dust of protest will settle down soon and protest is like water bubble. Earlier, when BD Sharma’s name was declared as Khajuraho candidate on Sunday, an ex-MLA Raju Poddar had resigned from all the posts of BJP. BJP leaders are keeping close watch on situation in Khajuraho and tried to contain the resentment. In the meantime, B D Sharma went to Panna Assembly seat of Khajuraho Lok Sabha region and received overwhelming response. Hundreds of party workers thronged Panna to welcome him and pledged to work for his victory.
